Double Tier Parking for Curtin University
Faced with an increasing number of students and staff cycling to campus everyday, Curtin University reached out to Cora Bike Rack for a solution to increase bike parking capacity within the limited parking areas available.
Using the E3DT-GT fully dynamic double tier system, Cora was able to increase the number of secure AS2890.3 compliant bike parking spaces by 120%.
With a dynamic gas lift assist upper tier together with a dynamic lower tier, the E3DT-GT allows the use of reduced spacing between racks while still complying with AS2890.3 requirements. Other double tier systems that use a static lower tier must still adhere to larger spacing requirements resulting in less bike parking spaces in a given area.
